Echoes 11 at the Royal Albert Hall
‘Echoes’ is a bi-annual concert organised by Buckinghamshire Music Trust (BMT) and performed by 1500 primary age children from Buckinghamshire schools. This is the fifth time I was involved as a pianist for Echoes, and my fourth time making arrangements of the songs for the BMT staff ensemble. I was involved in the first half of the concert, entitled ‘Sounds of Blue’, with songs selected and conducted by Fay Hayhurst. It was our fourth ‘Echoes’ creative collaboration, and the first in which Fay and I had made vocal and instrumental arrangements from scratch.
