Fringe Activities
2024 was the year of the first Chesham Fringe Festival, and I became part of the brand new group ‘Ensemble Inspire’ to put on a Fringe show, ‘Strictly Classical’. The show, performed at the Little Theatre in Chesham, had musical items, MC announcements and pronouncements, live interviews with the players, audience participation (scoring the performances) and a cockney rendition of Carmina Burana (renamed ‘Carmina Banana’). In true Fringe tradition, the show had everything and nothing in particular. And it was much nearer (for us and the audience) than Edinburgh.
