Brassworks
The horn player Richard Wainwright commissioned a piece to perform at the Octagon Music Concert Series (20nd November 2022). I decided to write a music theatre piece for the concert hall, entitled ‘3 Duets for Solo Horn’. The drama is in the title, in that the soloist is both himself and ‘the other’. The work has three movements: ‘His Master’s Voice’, ‘De Profundis’ and ‘Alien Invasion’, in which I join Richard on piano and percussion.
